У статті розглядаються різноманітні підходи до визначення полікодових текстів у працях вітчизняних і зарубіжних лінгвістів. Наводиться порівняльна характеристика аспектів, що покладені в основу розуміння гетерогенних текстів та вперше робиться огляд їх трактування в англомовному науковому дискурсі.
The article is devoted to the analyses of the approaches used for the description of
polycode texts in the works of the Russian and foreign linguists. The comparative charac
teristics of major aspectsthat are fundamental for heterogeneous texts understanding is
outlined. Besides, the interpretation of such texts in English-speaking scientific discourse
is described for the first time.
