Присвячено дослідженню функціонування образу й творчості Тараса Шевченка в культурному просторі Туреччини. Формування цілісної картини сприйняття турецьким суспільством духу української нації зумовлює мету пропонованої розвідки, представлення історичного й сучасного зрізу українсько-турецьких літературних взаємин, здійснення перекладацького аналізу турецькомовного "Кобзаря" визначають завдання розвідки. У статті визначено, що знайомство турецького суспільства із постаттю Тараса Шевченка лише набирає обертів, творчість Великого Кобзаря сприймається в Туреччині як складник духовного єства українського народу, відбувається поступове розкриття феномену Великого сина України, наголошується на значенні Шевченкапоета в турецькому соціокультурному просторі, констатується відсутність у ньому образу Шевченка-митця.
The article is devoted to the study of the functioning of the image and work of Taras Shevchenko in the cultural space of Turkey. The purpose of the article - the formation of a coherent picture of the perception of the Turkish society by the spirit of the Ukrainian nation, the presentation of the historical and contemporary section of Ukrainian-Turkish literary relations, the implementation of the translation analysis of the Turkish-language& "Kobzar" determine the task of intelligence. Among the modest list of Ukrainian artistic works represented in Turkish, the works of the father of the Ukrainian nation Taras Shevchenko and first of all the "Testament" are taken up by the first place.& Today, there are several translations of the "Testament" in Turkish (1927, 1968, 1971, 2009). In 2009, Shevchenko"s works sounded in Turkish in a wider format thanks to the translation of Tudor Arnout from the part of "Kobzar," as well as the poems &"The Caucasus" translated by Omer Dermendzh. Due to the fact that the heritage of the Ukrainian nation, Taras"es word, finally became a part of Turkish culture, it revealed to the Turks the artistic thinking and consciousness of the author. The artic&le states that the acquaintance of Turkish society with the figure of Taras Shevchenko is only gaining momentum, the creativity of the Great Kobzar is perceived in Turkey as a component of the spiritual nature of the Ukrainian people, there is a grad&ual disclosure of the phenomenon of the Great Kobzar, it is emphasized on the meaning of Shevchenko"s poet, while the importance for Ukraine is completely ignored. and the world of Shevchenko-artist.
