Зазначено, що норми австрійської шкільної системи стали визначальними й для навчальних закладах Тернополя. Розглянуто педагогічний склад гімназії та вчительської семінарії Тернополя та їх педагогічну діяльність. Зазначено, що всі вчителі гімназії та вчительської семінарії Тернополя отримали грунтовну європейську освіту.Показано, що на австрійську систему освіти безпосередньо вплинули прогресивні педагоги Німеччини, Англії, Франції, які залишили ряд цінних наукових праць щодо професійного зростання педагога-майстра, а педагогічна думка Німеччини стала джерелом розробкинаукових засад професійної підготовки вчителя Західного Поділля".
The article reveals the essence of pan-European pedagogical traditions and establishes their influence on the content and specificity of the training of domestic pedagogical staff of Ternopil. The study of the ideas of Western European training of the historical period is relevant in the study of their impact on the content and specificity of the training of pedagogical staff in Western Podillya. Territorial changes in Europe, which &at the end of the XVIII century. had a direct impact on the political, socio-economic, cultural, spiritual, educational situation in the West Podillya. In the history of pedagogical education in the region, a new period was started, due to the access&ion of the territory to Austria. At the end of the 18th and the end of the XIXth century, a system of education was formed in the Western Podillya, corresponding to the Austrian educational model, which in turn was based on Western European tradition&s. Note that in Austria (which included the West Podillya) the ideas of the European Renaissance and Enlightenment enjoyed special attention. Under the influence of Western currents in the late XVIII - XIX centuries, the need to develop higher pedago&gical education and training of teaching staff. Note that the Austrian educational system was directly influenced by the progressive educators of Germany, England, France, who left a number of valuable scientific works on the professional growth of a& master-educator. The pedagogical thought of Germany became the source for the development of scientific principles for vocational training of the teacher of Western Podillya. The article analyzes the history and development of teacher education in t&he West Podolie. Considered the Austrian school system, which was formed the pan-humanist tradition. It is noted that the rules of the Austrian school system have become crucial to Ternopil schools. Considered the gymnasium and teachers’ seminary tea&ching staff and their pedagogical activities. Indicated that all teachers and teachers’ seminary in Ternopil received full European education. It is proved that the Germany teacher thought was the source of the development training of teachers in Wes&tern Podolie.
