Mathematical modeling of piezoelectric transducers of non-canonical geometry has usually been performed by themeans of numerical simulations like finite element method. At this, one can encounter with questions of comparative analysis of gathered numerical results with the analytical formulae for samples of canonical geometry obtained by the means of classical mathematics. Such a comparison is appeared primarily for the amplitude-frequency characteristics (AFC) of the transducers, and the analysis should reflect qualitative changes due to the rejection of the canonical geometry. AFC of the conduction curren&t is clearly related with the dynamic stress-strain state of piezoelectric transducer. Therefore, appearance or disappearance of certain resonances of the transducer of non-canonical geometry indicate the global restructuring of all of its mechanical& variables and conjugate electric field. However, to get a meaningful interpretation of these global changes, the simple comparison of two sets of numerical data of canonical and non-canonical geometries may not be enough. The issue of weighed theore&tical analysis of analytical solutions of boundary value problems for the transducers of non-canonical geometry still remains significant.
As an example we study here the influence of variable width of the piezoceramic rod with solid surface electro&des at the frequency range of its longitudinal vibrations. The non-linear heterogeneous equation of vibrations includes the component of exciting electric field due to the nature of piezoeffect, and the solution in Bessel functions is supplemented by& complicated particular terms. At this, resonance frequencies are obtained from the determinant, which is similar to that of a purely elastic trapezoid rod, but displacements, stresses and displaced electric field differ significantly from the purely& elastic case and from canonical geometry. These questions require careful analysis and are beyond the scope of this article.
