Чисельно досліджується обтіканні сфери в"язкою нестисливою рідиною в широкому діапазоні чисел Рейнольдса. При ламінарних режимах обтікання задача розв"язується шляхом прямого чисельного моделювання. При турбулентних режимах використовується підхід LES.
Flow of viscous incompressible fluid past a sphere is studied numerically in a wide range of Reynolds number. For the laminar flow regimes the problem is solved through the use of direct numerical simulation. For the turbulent flow regimes LES approach is employed.
