   The article presents the results of a comparative analysis &of appellative names of water objects and their parts in Russian and Polish. The study aims to identify of linguo- culturological specificity of semantic continuum related to the object-spatial lexis, that preserves the and transmits the experience a&nd cultural heritage of previous generations. Since language and reality are in the dynamic relationships, opinions about the world around, its linguistic interpretation depends on the objective reality and human nature, experience, cultural heritage&. The basic names of thematic group "water objects" (ocean, morze, jezioro, rzeka) contain sustainable collective archetypes, symbolic meanings are inherent them. Examined lexical array was formed under conditions of close cooperation between special& and general vocabulary, that influenced the acquisition of significance and new valences of local objects. The creative interpretation of vocabulary, that denotes the water objects in a variety of styles and texts, testifies about their significant &cultural potential. The author concludes that in the names of objects constituting the concept sphere "water space", was encoded the universal experience, national and cultural peculiarities related with the history, axiological system, mentality of &Polish native speakers
