Vasilyi Vasiliev wrote his book "Hard Problem of Consciousness" devoted
to contemporary philosophy of mind and three greatest philosophers of
this field – David Chalmers, Daniel Dennet and John Searle. Philosophy of
mind grew out of analytical philosophy of language so there is no surprise
when Vasiliev makes a reference to Wittgenstein. One of the problems connected
to philosophy of mind is a problem of Artificial Intelligence. Wittgenstein
also asks a question "Can machines think?". Using his methodology he
comes to a conclusion that they cannot as our usual language prompts us.
Obviously Vasiliev uses this reference to show the difference between classical
language philosophy and modern analytical philosophy of mind.
