With the transitions of the Ukranian economy to a market economy the value of customs authorities sharply increased, and the range of tasks undertaken by Customs, has moved from the political field in purely economic - legal. Previously, because of small volumes of international trade in Ukrainian customs served as the "iron curtain", but now it takes for a natural feature - the legal and economic regulation of international transport and replenish state coffers.
