Проаналізовано поетичні твори М.-К. Сарбєвського та його наукові праці, які містять у собі запозичення із трактатів Я. Понтана та Ю. Скалігера й відчутно вплинули на київські поетики. Його творчість, на думку В. Рєзанова, є виявом неосхоластики і бароко, у ній класицистичні елементи, зокрема вчення про консептизм, поєднуються із ренесансними.
M-.K. Sarbevsky"s poetic and scientific works which comprise loans from treatises by Pontan and Skaliger and have made considerable influence on the Kiev poeticsare analysed. The creativity of M.K. Sarbevsky, according to V. Rezanov, is a display of neoscholasticism and baroque with the elements of Classicism, in particular doctrines about conceptism, as well as the Renaissance trends.
