The origin and development of the researches in Source Studies, Archives Studies and Historiography in Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University, the 60-year-old experience of the activity of Chair of Archives Studies and Special Historical Disciplines concerning the preparing the specialists on the archives studies are shown.
