Розглядаються відображення в народних етимологіях етноніма "сарацини" середньовічних християнських уявлень про мусульман .
Reflections in the folk etymologies of the ethnonim Saracen of medieval Christian representations about Moslems are considered in the article. It is being, that rapproachement of the name Saracen and Old Russian sraka "anus" can arise only the basis of the East-Slavonic linguage regularities.
