У статті дано визначення товарного обігу. Обгрунтована позиція щодо розуміння торгівлі і бартеру як форм товарного обігу. Здійснено аналіз трансакційних витрат при здійсненні торговельних і бартерних операцій. Обгрунтовано висновок щодо більшої ефективності торговельної організації товарного обігу за сучасних умов економічного розвитку.
