Розроблено метод для дослідження дії радіаційної сили в акустичному полі на тверду сферичну частинку, яка знаходиться в околі вільної поверхні ідеальної рідини. Одержано формули для обчислення величини і напряму її дії.
Acoustic radiation force effect on a rigid spherical particle placed in the vicinity of a liquid free surface is investigated. It is well known, the problems of determination of the radiation forces acting on the obstacles in an ideal liquid is formulated with respect to the Lagrange coordinate system. Thus, the radiation pressure is defined as time-averaged value of the acoustic pressure over the obstacle surface. This approach proves to be adequate if, at determining of the acoustic pressure in a fluid, the deviation of the pressurefrom the harmonic law in time domain is taken into account in the obstacle vicinity. Linear approximation for the radiation pressure evaluation is insufficient because having the sound pressure as periodic function of time and averaging it over the wavefield oscillation period leads to zero value of the force. According to the approach developed earlier, solution of the specified problem is performed in three basic steps. The first step comprises the examination of regularities of interaction betwe&en incident harmonic sound wave and obstacle: the sphere, i.e. the solution of the problem of an incident wave scattering. With making use of the results obtained, the second step encompasses determining of hydrodynamic forces acting on the rigid sph&erical particle with their subsequent averaging over the suitable time interval at the third step. The formulae for radiation force calculation as well as determination of the direction of it are derived.
