Автори статті вперше в українському літературознавстві звернулися до теми зображення Докією Гуменною літературного портрета українських письменників у мемуарній прозі. На конкретних прикладах проілюстровано оригінальність пошуків письменницею викладу матеріалу, який творчо змодельоване завдяки застосуванню метафорики, стилістичних фігур, іронії. Остання чіткіше увиразнює художній образ письменників 20-х років минулого століття. В мемуарах чітко спостережується в центрі оповіді "Я" автора, його особистівраження, асоціації, точка відліку цінностей. Для читача, як і для дослідника, це уможливлює побачити і зрозуміти в образах письменників особистість самої Докії Гуменної з її світоглядом, поглядами на світ й українську літературу.
The authors for the first time in Ukrainian literary criticism applied to the subject of the image of Dokiia Humenna"s literary portrait of Ukrainian writers in prose memoir. By the specific examples the originality of creative research of writer of presentation, which is creatively modeled through the use of metaphor, stylistic figures irony, has been illustrated. The latter clearer shows the character of the writers of 1920-s. In the memoirs we can clearly observe "I" of the author in the center of the narrative, her p&ersonal experiences, associations, benchmark values. For the reader, as for the researcher, it makes possible to see and understand in the images of the writers the personality of Dokiia Humenna with her outlook, views to the world and Ukrainian lite&rature.
